Henderson Franklin Attorneys Boltrek, Gendreau and Olivo Present a Mock Mediation at Statewide HR Conference

Henderson, Franklin, Starnes & Holt, P.A., is pleased to announce that attorneys William “Bill” Boltrek, Geraldo “Jerry” Olivo and Steven Gendreau presented “Mediation Through the Looking Glass,” an interactive mock mediation session at the 90th Annual Florida Public Human Resources Association (FPHRA) Conference in Orlando.

Designed for public sector human resources professionals from across Florida, the interactive session explored the mediation process through a live mock mediation. Attendees observed each stage of the proceeding while gaining practical insight into the roles of the parties, counsel and mediator, as well as techniques that can help facilitate productive discussions and achieve effective resolutions.

“Many HR professionals may encounter mediation during their careers but have never had the opportunity to see the process unfold,” said Boltrek. “Our goal was to provide a realistic, behind-the-scenes look at how mediation works so attendees would leave with a better understanding of what to expect and how thoughtful preparation can contribute to successful outcomes.”

FPHRA is a statewide professional organization dedicated to advancing the human resources profession in Florida’s public sector. Since 1936, the association has connected and educated HR professionals through continuing education, networking and professional development while promoting best practices, ethical standards and innovative workplace solutions.
