Mary Saunders focuses her practice on estate planning, probate and trust administration. She advises individuals and families throughout Southwest Florida on planning for the management and transfer of assets, future decision-making and family legacy considerations.

Mary’s practice includes the preparation of wills, trusts, powers of attorney, healthcare directives and related planning documents. She also assists clients with estate and trust administration matters, helping families navigate legal and financial responsibilities following the loss of a loved one. Mary also advises clients regarding tax planning considerations, charitable planning and succession-related issues.

Clients often seek Mary’s guidance when navigating complex family and financial dynamics, including blended families, long-term planning concerns and matters involving loved ones with disabilities. She values taking the time to understand each client’s goals and priorities and approaches planning with a practical, personalized perspective.

Before concentrating her practice in trust and estates, Mary gained experience in a variety of legal and business settings. She previously served as in-house corporate counsel handling corporate matters, contract drafting and negotiation, intellectual property and compliance matters involving education deliverables and medical technology products. She also operated a solo practice focused on residential real estate and short sale negotiations and has experience in residential real estate sales in Southwest Florida. Her diverse professional background provides additional insight into issues that may affect estate planning, business interests and family asset transitions.

Originally from Pompano Beach, Mary enjoys spending time with her family and exploring everything Southwest Florida has to offer, including local parks, children’s museums and family activities.

Mary is a member of The Florida Bar and is involved with community initiatives supporting children and families in Southwest Florida.
