O’Brien Elected to Henderson Franklin Executive Committee

Fort Myers Divorce, Marital and Family Law Attorney Christina "Christy" O'BrienHenderson, Franklin, Starnes & Holt, P.A. is pleased to announce that Christina “Christy” O’Brien has been elected to the firm’s Executive Committee. Reflecting on her election, she shares:

I am grateful for the trust and support of my colleagues and proud to be part of a firm that has such a longstanding commitment to its clients, its people, and the Southwest Florida community. Since joining the firm in 2013, I have had the opportunity to grow both professionally and personally alongside an exceptional team. I look forward to continuing to support the firm’s future while serving our clients and mentoring the next generation of attorneys.”

O’Brien is a stockholder in the firm’s Divorce, Marital and Family Law Department and serves as Department Chair. She represents clients throughout Southwest Florida in a broad range of family law matters, including divorce, alimony, timesharing, post-judgment modifications, adoption matters, and complex marital and financial disputes involving business interests and asset tracing.

O’Brien is also a Florida Supreme Court Certified Family Mediator and an appointed Guardian ad Litem in Lee County, certified to make recommendations regarding parenting plans and issues involving the best interests of children.

“Christy has earned the respect of her colleagues through her leadership, professionalism, and dedication to both her clients and the firm. She has played an important role in the continued growth of our Family Law Department while also mentoring younger attorneys. Active in both professional and community organizations, O’Brien is a member of the Family Law Rules Committee for The Florida Bar and serves as the recording secretary for the Fort Myers High School Athletic Booster Club. She formerly served as Chair of the 20th Judicial Circuit Grievance Committee A and previously served on the Domestic Violence Committee, CLE Committee, and Rules and Forms Committee for the Family Law Section of the Florida Bar. Her past community involvement includes service on the boards of the Association of Family Law Professionals, Coalition for a Drug-Free Southwest Florida, Family Resource Center of Southwest Florida, and Lee County Legal Aid Society.
