Shannon Puopolo to Present on Mediation in Bankruptcy for the Lee County Bar Association ADR Section
Henderson, Franklin, Starnes & Holt, P.A. is pleased to announce that stockholder Shannon Puopolo will be the featured speaker for the Lee County Bar Association’s Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) Section on Thursday, August 21, 2025, at noon. Her virtual presentation, “From Insolvency to Resolution: The Role of Mediation in Bankruptcy,” will provide practical insight into how mediation can be effectively utilized in bankruptcy proceedings. During the session, she will:
- Identify the applicable federal and local rules governing bankruptcy mediations;
- Analyze the most effective use of mediation for Chapter 7, 11, and 13 bankruptcies; and,
- Recognize unique legal issues that arise in bankruptcy mediations.

Puopolo focuses her practice on business litigation, representing clients in complex matters including bankruptcy and foreclosure proceedings, real estate disputes, alternative finance transactions, and appellate law. As a Florida Supreme Court Certified Circuit Mediator and approved mediator for the United States District Court for the Middle District of Florida, Puopolo brings deep experience in bankruptcy, creditor’s rights, and mediation. She serves as President of the Southwest Florida Bankruptcy Professionals Association.
Recognized for her work, Puopolo has been named a “Rising Star” in business litigation by Florida Super Lawyers® (2012-2023) and recognized as a “Florida Super Lawyer” (2024-2025). She has also been listed as a “Top Lawyer” by Naples Illustrated since 2018 and was recognized as one of Gulfshore Business Magazine‘s and Business Observer‘s “40 Under 40.” In addition, Florida Trend recognized Shannon as one of its “Notable Women Leaders in Law” in 2024.
