Scott Atwood to Address HR Leaders at SHRM Tri-County Conference

Labor & Employment Attornrey Scott AtwoodHenderson, Franklin, Starnes & Holt, P.A., is pleased to announce that stockholder Scott Atwood will serve as a panelist at the 2026 Tri-County Conference, “Future Ready: Transforming People & Culture,” on Friday, April 24, 2026, at Florida Gulf Coast University’s Alico Arena in Fort Myers.

Atwood will participate in the session titled “Employment Law Essentials: A Legal Update for HR Leaders.” The panel will provide human resource professionals with timely updates on employment law developments and practical guidance for navigating workplace challenges.

The conference brings together HR professionals from across Southwest Florida for a full day of education and networking. Attendees will receive up to five continuing education credits through SHRM and HRCI, with programming focused on people, culture, and the evolving workplace.

Atwood chairs Henderson Franklin’s Labor and Employment Law Group and represents entrepreneurs, public entities, and businesses across the country, with a focus on Florida and Georgia. His practice spans a broad range of employment matters, including discrimination, harassment, retaliation, wage and hour compliance, leave issues, and restrictive covenants.

In addition to his legal practice, Atwood serves as Legislative Chair for SHRM Naples, where he actively monitors and interprets legislative developments impacting employers and HR professionals. He is also former chair of The Florida Bar Labor & Employment Section.

A Florida Supreme Court Certified Circuit Civil Mediator, Atwood also assists clients in resolving disputes efficiently through alternative dispute resolution. He has been recognized by Best Lawyers in America, Florida Super Lawyers, and Naples Illustrated as a “Top Lawyer”.
