Litigation Expert Michael Corso to Discuss Drone Law for Florida Engineers
Henderson, Franklin, Starnes & Holt, P.A. is pleased to announce that Florida Litigation Expert Michael Corso will present “Rise of the Drones: Current UAV/UAS Law Landscape” at the 2018 Florida Engineering Society/American Council of Engineering Companies of Florida Annual Conference at the JW Marriott on Marco Island on Friday, August 3, 2018. Corso, who is also an aerospace engineer, will discuss drone safety campaigns, FAA drone regulations and enforcement, federal and state legislation, and Fourth Amendment protections.
Corso has been Florida Bar Board Certified in Civil Trial Law for over 30 years and over 20 years in Business Litigation Law. He is Chair of Henderson Franklin’s Tort & Insurance Litigation Division, Chair of the Marketing Committee and member of the firm’s Executive Committee. Corso focuses his practice on matters involving product liability and the defense of non-medical professionals such as lawyers, accountants, architects, engineers, and surveyors. He frequently speaks throughout the United States on issues regarding the defense of non-medical professionals, law office risk management issues, and drone law.
Corso has received much recognition throughout his legal career, including the 2011 Outstanding Aerospace Engineer Award by Purdue University, the Florida Defense Lawyers Association President’s Award, the Defense Research Institute’s Exceptional Performance Citation, as well as being named to Florida Super Lawyers® and Florida Trend magazine’s Legal Elite®. He is also AV-rated by Martindale-Hubbell.
Prior to joining Henderson Franklin, Corso was a Captain the United States Air Force and completed his military career in the JAG lawyer program. He received his undergraduate degree in Aeronautics and Astronautics from Purdue University (B.S., 1971) and his law degree from Villanova University (J.D., 1974).
