Jeff Wright to Present “State of Land Use” in Collier County at February’s NABOR Government Affairs Committee Meeting

Henderson, Franklin, Starnes & Holt, P.A. is pleased to announce that stockholder Jeff Wright, a Florida Bar Board Certified expert in City, County & Local Government Law, will be a speaker at the upcoming NABOR Government Affairs Committee meeting on Monday, February 17, 2025.

Wright, who serves as the chair of the firm’s Land Use & Environmental Law Department, has extensive experience in land use entitlements, zoning, and permitting. His presentation will cover the current state of land use in Collier County, offering insights from a private legal practitioner’s perspective. Wright shares,

“Land use policies play a crucial role in shaping the growth and development of Collier County. As regulations evolve, it’s essential for real estate professionals to understand the legal framework governing land development, including permitting, zoning, and growth management. I look forward to discussing the challenges, opportunities, and other current land use issues in Collier County, and to providing information to help NABOR and its members have a better understanding of these issues.”

The Government Affairs Committee, comprising over 30 residential, commercial, and affiliate members, is responsible for drafting policy statements on local and state land use matters. Wright’s expertise will aid the committee in understanding the evolving legal landscape and its implications for real estate professionals in the region.

Wright’s background includes serving as an Assistant County Attorney in Collier County, where he handled growth management, code compliance, and other land use matters. Following his government service, he entered private practice, where he represents clients on land use matters throughout Southwest Florida.
