Iman Zekri Honored for Professionalism by The Florida Bar Young Lawyers Division

Henderson, Franklin, Starnes & Holt, P.A., is pleased to announce that The Florida Bar Young Lawyers Division Board of Governors has selected Iman Zekri as a recipient of the 2026 Young Lawyers Division 36 Under 36 Professionalism Award, an honor recognizing young attorneys who exemplify the highest standards of professionalism, ethics, character, and integrity in the practice of law. She shares,

The 36 Under 36 Professionalism Award is presented annually to attorneys under the age of 36 who are members in good standing of The Florida Bar Young Lawyers Division and who demonstrate an unwavering commitment to professionalism, ethical conduct, and elevating the legal profession. Award recipients are recognized for conduct that reflects respect for clients, colleagues, the judiciary, and the public, even in the most challenging circumstances.

Zekri is an appellate and divorce, marital and family law attorney whose practice is rooted in direct client engagement, careful strategy, and principled advocacy. She guides clients through some of life’s most personal and complex transitions with clarity, compassion, and diligence, while ensuring they remain informed and empowered throughout the legal process. Her practice includes divorces, prenuptial and postnuptial agreements, family law appeals, name changes, and modifications of parenting plans, alimony, and child support.

Zekri’s professionalism extends beyond the courtroom. She has been recognized as a Florida Super Lawyers “Rising Star” for three consecutive years (2023–2025) and named a Naples Illustrated “Top Lawyer” in Appellate and Family Law (2023–2024). In addition to her legal practice, Zekri is deeply engaged in professional and civic leadership. She serves on the Board of Directors of Blessings in a Backpack of Southwest Florida, is the current President of the Association of Family Law Professionals and is the Immediate Past Chair of The Florida Bar’s Student Education & Admissions to the Bar Committee.
