Henderson Franklin Welcomes Military Veteran and Attorney Alex Polidan to Litigation Team

Tort & Insurance Litigation Attorney J. Alexander "Alex" PolidanHenderson, Franklin, Starnes & Holt, P.A., is pleased to announce that J. Alexander (“Alex”) Polidan has joined the firm’s Tort & Insurance Litigation Department. He will be based out of the firm’s Fort Myers office and will represent clients in personal injury defense, insurance disputes, and a wide range of civil litigation matters.

“We are excited to welcome Alex to the Tort & Insurance Litigation team,” said Matthew Belcastro, chair of the department. “His military leadership background, strong academic achievements, and practical experience make him an excellent addition. We know he will bring the same discipline and problem-solving mindset that defined his military service to his work on behalf of our clients.”

Polidan earned his J.D., magna cum laude, from Stetson University College of Law in 2025, graduating in the top 5% of his class. While at Stetson, he served as Articles and Symposia Editor of the Stetson Law Review and as a teaching assistant in the Advanced Veterans Advocacy Clinic. His hands-on experience included clerking for a law firm handling first-party property insurance claims and assisting veterans through Stetson’s Veterans Advocacy Clinic, where he assisted in a full remand in a case before the Court of Appeals for Veterans Claims and contributed to an amicus brief filed with the U.S. Supreme Court.

Before pursuing a legal career, Polidan served as a Battalion Communications Officer in the U.S. Marine Corps, leading a team of 40 Marines, managing a $2.5 million equipment portfolio, and earning the Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal for his service. His military background instilled the discipline, preparation, and mission-driven approach that now shape his work as a Florida litigation attorney. Speaking on his new role, he shares:

“I am honored to begin my legal career at Henderson Franklin and grateful for the opportunity to work alongside such talented and supportive colleagues. My time in the Marine Corps taught me the value of preparation, focus, and execution, and I look forward to applying those lessons to serve our clients.”
