Henderson Franklin Elects Spencer Shaw Stockholder

Florida Workers' Compensation Defense Attorney Spencer ShawHenderson, Franklin, Starnes & Holt, P.A. has elected workers’ compensation attorney Spencer Shaw as a stockholder. She shares,

Shaw joined Henderson Franklin in February 2018 and focuses her practice on workers’ compensation defense, representing public and private employers across Florida. She advises clients throughout the workers’ compensation claims process, including compliance, strategic claim management, and preparation for depositions and trials. Her work reflects a disciplined approach to risk management and a practical understanding of employer concerns.

“Spencer brings a steady, thoughtful approach to workers’ compensation defense,” said David Roos, Chair of the Workers’ Compensation Department at Henderson Franklin. “She understands the practical concerns employers face and provides advice that is both strategic and responsive, which has earned her strong, long-standing client relationships.”

In addition to her practice, Shaw has demonstrated a strong commitment to professional development within the workers’ compensation field. She is a graduate of the inaugural Florida Office of Judges of Compensation Claims (OJCC) Scholars Program, which concluded with a formal ceremony during the Workers’ Compensation Section’s 2025 Educational Forum in Orlando.

Shaw has also contributed to the broader workers’ compensation community, previously serving as co-chair of the Florida Defense Lawyers Association’s Workers’ Compensation Section from 2018 to 2023. Her professional achievements have been recognized by Naples Illustrated, which named her a “Top Lawyer” in Workers’ Compensation Law from 2021 through 2025, and by Florida Super Lawyers, which selected her as a “Rising Star” from 2023 through 2025.
