Henderson Franklin Attorney Iman Zekri to Lead Association of Family Law Professionals for Second Term

Henderson, Franklin, Starnes & Holt, P.A., is pleased to announce that Divorce, Marital and Family Law attorney Iman Zekri has been re-elected to serve as the 2026 President of the Association of Family Law Professionals (AFLP) Board of Directors.

AFLP is a Southwest Florida-based organization uniting attorneys, judges, mediators, financial professionals, mental health experts, and court staff who share a commitment to improving outcomes for families navigating legal transitions. Under Zekri’s leadership, the organization will continue to strengthen collaboration across disciplines and provide education to support fair, compassionate, and effective family law processes. Speaking on her re-election, she shares,

Zekri, who also serves as a Divorce, Marital and Family Law attorney at Henderson Franklin, focuses her practice on all aspects of family law, including divorce, child custody, paternity, domestic violence, appeals and post-judgment matters. She also represents clients statewide in preparing prenuptial and postnuptial agreements and guides individuals through emotionally charged, high-stakes family matters with clarity, strategy, and empathy.

Zekri has been named a “Rising Star” by Florida Super Lawyers for three consecutive years (2023–2025) and a “Top Lawyer” by Naples Illustrated in both Family and Appellate Law (2023–2024). Zekri remains active in numerous community and professional organizations, including Blessings in a Backpack of Southwest Florida, The Florida Bar’s Student Education & Admissions to the Bar Committee, the Calusa Inn of Court, and both the Lee County and Collier County Bar Associations.

A Fort Myers native and alumna of Riverdale High School’s International Baccalaureate program, Zekri graduated summa cum laude from Florida Gulf Coast University and received her Juris Doctor, cum laude, from the University of Florida Levin College of Law.
