Henderson Franklin Amanda Barritt Named 2027 Real Estate “Lawyer of the Year” in Fort Myers

Florida Bar Board Certified Condominium and Planned Development Lawyer Amanda BarrittHenderson, Franklin, Starnes & Holt, P.A., is pleased to announce that stockholder Amanda Barritt has been named the 2027 Best Lawyers® “Lawyer of the Year” for Real Estate Law in Fort Myers. This marks the fourth time she has received a Best Lawyers® “Lawyer of the Year” honor.

Best Lawyers® awards the “Lawyer of the Year” designation to one lawyer in a specific practice area and geographic region each year. Recognition is based on peer feedback, making Barritt’s selection particularly meaningful among attorneys practicing real estate law in the Fort Myers area.

Barritt’s 2027 recognition follows three previous Best Lawyers® “Lawyer of the Year” awards. She was named “Lawyer of the Year” for Community Association Law in Fort Myers in 2022 and 2024 and for Real Estate Law in 2023. With her latest selection, Barritt has now received the distinction twice in Real Estate Law and twice in Community Association Law. Barritt shares:

Barritt is Florida Bar Board Certified in Condominium and Planned Development Law. Her practice focuses on commercial real estate development, commercial real estate transactions and community association law. She represents developers, investors, lenders, property owners and community associations in acquisitions and dispositions, development structuring, purchase and sale agreements, leases, easements, reciprocal use agreements and condominium and homeowners’ association matters.

Barritt’s experience includes multi-phase developments, mixed-use projects and shared-use properties. She also advises developers and associations on association formation and governance, covenant enforcement, document interpretation and amendments and operational matters related to residential and commercial communities.

Barritt serves on the Board of Directors of Habitat for Humanity of Lee & Hendry Counties, where she chairs the Family Selection Committee. She is Program Chair of the CREW Naples/Fort Myers Chapter and serves on an allocations committee for United Way of Lee, Hendry & Glades Counties. She is also a member of The Florida Bar and its Real Property, Probate & Trust Law Section.
