Boltrek Discusses Emerging Public Safety Liability Issues at Police Liability Conference
Henderson, Franklin, Starnes & Holt, P.A. is pleased to announce that stockholders William (“Bill”) Boltrek presented at a Public Risk Management police liability conference in Lakeland, Florida, addressing timely legal issues affecting law enforcement agencies and public sector risk management.
Boltrek presented “Immigration Enforcement and Local Law Enforcement Roles,” providing an overview of 287(g) agreements, statutory responsibilities, recent legal developments and liability considerations related to cooperation between local agencies and federal immigration authorities. His presentation focused on helping attendees better understand the legal framework governing agency participation and operational considerations associated with these programs.
The conference brought together attorneys, law enforcement professionals and risk management personnel to discuss developments in police liability and public entity defense. Boltrek shares,
