Whitesman Addresses National Audience at the 2019 Florida Tax Institute
Henderson, Franklin, Starnes & Holt, P.A., is pleased to announce that Florida Board Certified Tax Attorney, Guy Whitesman, recently co-presented “Tips and Traps in Drafting the LLC Operating Agreement” at the 2019 Florida Tax Institute in Tampa with Greenberg Traurig Attorney Joel Maser. This conference was presented on behalf of the University of Florida Levin College of Law Graduate Tax Program.
Whitesman chairs Henderson Franklin’s Business and Tax division and concentrates his practice in mergers and acquisitions, business organization planning and taxation. He also serves as general counsel to a number of the firm’s clients.
Whitesman is a long time active member of the Executive Council of the Florida Bar Tax Section and former Chair. He is also a Florida Bar Board Certified tax attorney and past chair of the Tax Law Certification Committee. Whitesman currently serves as trustee and past chair of the Southwest Florida Community Foundation. He also serves as a member of the Board of Trustees of the University of Florida Law Center Association, Inc.
Whitesman has received much recognition over the years, including being named Best Lawyers In America “2019 Tax Law Lawyer of the Year in Fort Myers.” Only a single lawyer in each specialty in each community is being honored as the “Lawyer of the Year.” He has also been honored by Florida Super Lawyers® Magazine (2006—2018), Best Lawyers in America (2013—2019), and Florida Trend Legal Elite. Whitesman also holds the highest AV rating by Martindale-Hubbell.
