Henderson Franklin Welcomes Attorney Madeline Hailer to Its Naples Business Litigation Team

Business Litigation Attorney Madeline "Maddie" HailerHenderson, Franklin, Starnes & Holt, P.A. is pleased to announce that Madeline “Maddie” Hailer has joined the firm as an associate in its Business Litigation Department in the Naples office. She assists attorneys in representing clients in commercial disputes and complex civil litigation matters, bringing strong research, writing, and case development skills to support effective litigation strategy. Hailer is admitted to practice in Florida and Oregon.

Speaking on her new role, Hailer shares:

“I am thrilled to join Henderson Franklin and begin building my litigation practice in Naples. After clerking in federal court, I’m eager to work closely with clients and colleagues to navigate business disputes with diligence and care.”

Prior to joining the firm, Hailer completed two federal judicial clerkships at the U.S. District Court for the District of Oregon, where she served under Chief U.S. District Judge Michael McShane and Magistrate Judge Mark Clarke. Her work included drafting judicial opinions, managing active dockets, preparing judges for hearings, and mentoring legal externs, giving her valuable insight into federal court practice and judicial decision-making.

“Madeline’s judicial clerkship experience and academic background make her an excellent addition to our team,” said Scott Beatty, chair of the firm’s Business Litigation Department. “Her strong research and writing skills, combined with her thoughtful approach to problem-solving, will be a tremendous asset to our clients and our practice.”

Hailer earned her J.D. from the University of Oregon School of Law, where she served on the Executive Board of the Oregon Law Review, tutored in the nation’s top-ranked Legal Research and Writing Program, and received multiple awards for writing and leadership. She also gained experience through internships with a Portland law firm and the Legal Aid Low-Income Taxpayer Clinic. Hailer also holds a Bachelor of Arts in Communications and International Studies from the University of Wisconsin–Madison.
