Trusts and Estates Attorney

Henderson Franklin’s Trusts and Estates practice is seeking an experienced mid-level attorney to join our successful team. The ideal candidate will have five (5) or more years of experience in trusts and estates and estate administration; candidates with an LLM are preferred. The ideal candidate will have experience working directly with high-net-worth clients on estate preservation and planning strategies, including preparing Last Wills & Testaments, Revocable and Irrevocable Trusts, POA’s and other ancillary documents.

Tort & Insurance Associate Attorney, Fort Myers Office

Henderson Franklin is seeking an attorney with a minimum of 3 years insurance litigation experience, with exceptional writing and analytical skills to join our Torts and Insurance defense practice. Experience in federal courts and familiarity with §1983 cases and appellate work is preferred. The position involves drafting and reviewing pleadings, evaluating cases, responding to discovery, preparing and arguing motions, attending hearings, depositions, mediations, meetings with clients, as well as negotiating settlements. Candidates must be a licensed member of the Florida Bar in good standing. The ideal candidate will also have a strong work ethic, be highly organized, communicate well, and have the ability to collaborate with peers, partners, and paralegals. Paralegal – Family Law – Fort Myers

Henderson Franklin is currently seeking a dedicated, detail-oriented paralegal in our Family Law practice to support our attorneys to deliver exceptional service to our clients. Our Family Law paralegal team play a critical role in executing a variety of legal process, managing case files and preparing documents with attorney oversight. The ideal candidates should have:

  • Minimum of three years’ paralegal experience in a similar specialty; family law preferred.
  • Computer proficiency in the use of MS Office (Word, Outlook and Excel), document management and time entry software.
  • Proficiency in legal client file management software; NetDocs preferred.
  • Strong time management skills and the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent organizational skills, interpersonal skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to coordinate multiple tasks concurrently and to meet deadlines.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to work effectively and proactively within a team environment.
  • Paralegal degree, NALA Certification or Florida Registered Paralegal preferred.

Legal Assistant

Henderson Franklin is seeking a skilled legal assistant (LA) for our Business Litigation department. The LA will provide support for two or more attorneys, managing their calendars, following up with clients and other related tasks within a team oriented environment. Ideal candidates should have:

  • A minimum of three years of administrative support experience in a legal office environment;
  • Ability to juggle multiple priorities and calendars for two attorneys;
  • Experience using document management and client management software applications;
  • Strong computer proficiency and intermediate knowledge of MS Office (Word, Outlook, and Excel);
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal; demonstrated understanding of correct grammar, spelling and punctuation;
  • Strong organizational skills, and attention to detail;
  • Poised and professional with the ability to effectively interact with attorneys, clients, and co-workers within a team environment;
  • Ability to coordinate multiple tasks concurrently and to meet deadlines;
  • A willingness to learn and be flexible with assignments;
  • Knowledge litigation processes and state and federal filings is preferred.
