Chief Operating Officer, Fort Myers

Henderson Franklin is seeking a Chief Operating Officer (COO) to replace the retiring incumbent who has held the position for 16 years. The COO:

  • Provides strategic management and direction by serving as ex-officio member of Henderson Franklin’s Executive Committee
  • Chairs other firm committees and acts as principal advisor to Managing Attorney
  • Manages (either directly or through direct reports) the firm’s overall day-to-day operations in the areas of Finance, Human Resources, IT, Marketing, Facilities, Support Services, and Library
  • Provides input for the firm’s strategic planning and succession plan

Ideal candidates should have:

  • Strong managerial and leadership skills
  • Degree in business (MBA preferred) or finance
  • Strong financial skills
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a law firm management position of 35 or more attorneys
  • Ability to successfully delegate tasks when appropriate
  • Professional certifications, including CLM designation a plus
