Overview

Patrick Hodges is an associate attorney in Henderson Franklin’s Business & Tax and Estate Planning Departments, based in the firm’s Bonita Springs office. His practice focuses on tax planning for businesses and individuals, as well as estate planning matters where tax considerations play a central role.

Patrick joined Henderson Franklin after serving as a Summer Associate, gaining hands-on experience researching and drafting legal memoranda on tax-related issues, contract matters, and regulatory topics. He worked closely with attorneys across multiple practice areas, gaining practical exposure to both business and estate planning matters.

Patrick received his Juris Doctor, cum laude, from the University of Florida Fredric G. Levin College of Law. During law school, he earned Book Awards in Constitutional Law and Economic, Social, and Cultural Rights and was named to the Dean’s List every semester. He served as a Senior Research Editor for the Journal of Law and Public Policy, overseeing citation review and editorial work for published legal scholarship.

Patrick’s advanced training includes a Master of Laws (LL.M.) in Taxation from the University of Florida, completed with a 3.74 GPA. He also received the Book Award in Transfer Pricing, reflecting a strong academic focus on tax law and planning.

Patrick’s academic background began at the University of Central Florida, where he earned a Bachelor of Arts in History and a Bachelor of Science in Political Science in 2022. He graduated summa cum laude as a Top Honor Graduate, achieving a 4.0 GPA across all programs.

Originally from Naples, Florida, Patrick enjoys Broadway performances and concerts, particularly at the Naples Philharmonic, where he previously performed for 8 years as a member of the Youth Chamber Choir.

Professional and Civic Involvement

Patrick is actively involved in community service, with a particular commitment to animal welfare organizations in Southwest Florida. He has volunteered with For the Love of Cats, a nonprofit animal rescue based in Marco Island, supporting the organization through shelter operations, adoption events, and community outreach initiatives.
