Where Tradition Meets the Future®

Overview

Kendall Coughlin is an associate in Henderson Franklin’s Tort & Insurance Litigation Department. She represents clients in civil litigation matters, with a focus on insurance defense and tort disputes. Kendall brings fresh perspective, attention to detail, and a genuine commitment to supporting clients with clarity and compassion.

Before becoming a lawyer, Kendall worked in Southwest Florida’s luxury real estate industry, serving as a licensed broker, design consultant, and financial liaison for custom home builds. That experience sharpened her client service instincts and ability to manage high-stakes projects. Her transition to law was inspired by personal events, navigating the probate process after the passing of both parents, which led her to pursue a career rooted in helping others during life’s most difficult moments.

Kendall graduated magna cum laude from Ave Maria School of Law, where she ranked in the top 10% of her class. She served as Associate Editor and Business Manager of the Ave Maria Law Review, Editor in Chief of Publications for the Moot Court Board and was selected as a finalist for student commencement speaker. She also received the St. Raymond of Penyafort Award for Excellence in Written Advocacy.

As a law clerk and intern, Kendall assisted attorneys with preparing for trial, drafted legal memoranda and responsive motions, and reviewed service and operating agreements for clients in various industries.

Originally from Long Island, Kendall now calls Southwest Florida home. She and her husband, Anthony, share their lives with two miniature Australian Shepherds. Outside the office, she enjoys hiking trips to the Carolinas, musical theatre, horror movies, and reading.

Professional & Civic Involvement

Kendall is a member of The Florida Bar. She looks forward to becoming involved in pro bono initiatives and plans to volunteer with the Humane Society, combining her passion for advocacy with her love of animals.
