Michael is an associate in the Tort & Insurance Litigation division and concentrates his practice in the defense of tort claims. He is admitted to practice in all Florida state courts, as well as the United States District Court for the Middle District of Florida.
Predicated on his desire to serve others, Michael focuses his civil and insurance litigation practice on the representation of individuals and corporations as an unwavering advocate. He is dedicated to protecting his clients’ best interests throughout the course of litigation; from the commencement of suit through discovery, mediation, trial, and appellate proceedings. As a civil trial and appellate attorney, he has successfully tried numerous cases to jury verdict and has succeeded in upholding those verdicts on appeal.
Michael previously served as an associate attorney at a local insurance defense firm representing policyholders and insurance companies against bodily injury claims and lawsuits, as well as in construction defect matters. Earlier in his legal career, he advocated in support of injured clients as a plaintiff’s personal injury and commercial litigation attorney. His experience working on both sides of the aisle uniquely positions him in his evaluation and defense of tort-related claims.
Prior to his legal career, Michael served as a YMCA professional director. He graduated magna cum laude from Webber International University with a bachelor of science in business administration degree where he was an academic all-conference and academic all-American baseball player. Michael earned his law degree from Florida Coastal School of Law, graduating cum laude and obtaining certifications in sports law and legal research, writing and drafting.
Michael grew up in Lexington, KY, and Logansport, IN. He currently resides in Punta Gorda with his wife, Ann-Marie. Michael is an avid sports fan and fitness enthusiast. He spends his free time working out, attending sporting events and engaging in physical and recreational activities.
