Overview

Sonia Insua is a highly experienced paralegal having worked nearly 30 years in the legal industry. She supports tort and insurance defense litigation cases involving premises liability and auto accidents. In her typical work week, she reviews new claims, conducts background research and investigations, catalogs evidence, responds to discovery, summarizes medical records and depositions, retains experts, and prepares cases for trial.

Before relocating to Southwest Florida and joining Henderson Franklin, Sonia established her career at both large and boutique firms in Miami-Dade, Broward, and Palm Beach counties. She has previously worked on mass tort cases and other large medical malpractice and professional malpractice cases.

Originally from Cuba, Sonia is fluent in both English and Spanish. She considers herself an island girl who loves simple pleasures like the beach or fishing. She is also an avid reader of books on investigative psychology and criminal behavior. Sonia holds an Associate of Science degree in Paralegal Studies from Miami-Dade College and a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology from Nova Southeastern University.

At home, Sonia has a wonderful support system in her husband and two daughters. She and her family enjoy trips to Argentina and cruises. Sonia is also passionate about rescuing animals, and her four dogs are all rescues.
