Overview
Michael Green focuses his practice on workers’ compensation defense, representing employers, insurance carriers and self-insured entities throughout Florida. With more than 15 years of experience in labor and employment law, he provides guidance on complex workers’ compensation claims, workplace injury disputes and employer liability issues. Michael is admitted to practice in all Florida state courts, the United States Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit and the United States District Courts for the Middle and Southern Districts of Florida.
Michael is committed to helping businesses navigate Florida’s evolving workers’ compensation laws while minimizing risk and exposure. He works closely with employers to develop proactive defense strategies, ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations while effectively managing claims. His approach includes a deep understanding of workplace dynamics to help clients make informed decisions that protect their business interests and manage risk.
In addition to his litigation practice, Michael is an adjunct professor at Florida State University College of Law’s Juris Master Program and teaches Employment Law and HR Compliance. He is also a periodic speaker at professional conferences, including conferences for the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM) such as the Alabama Governor’s Safety & Health Conference concerning OSHA.
Before practicing law, Michael served as a Commissioned Officer in the U.S. Navy, where he held leadership roles aboard multiple vessels and as an instructor at a flight squadron. This background instilled in him a strong work ethic, strategic thinking and a disciplined approach to problem-solving, qualities that continue to shape his legal practice today.
