Where Tradition Meets the Future®

Overview

J. Alexander (“Alex”) Polidan is an associate in Henderson Franklin’s Tort & Insurance Litigation Department, where he represents clients in matters involving personal injury defense, insurance disputes, and related civil litigation. A former United States Marine Corps Officer, Alex brings focus, discipline, and mission-driven problem-solving to his legal practice.

While earning his J.D., Alex gained practical experience across several legal settings. He served as a law clerk for a statewide firm handling first-party property claims and worked in the Veterans Advocacy Clinic at Stetson University College of Law, where he successfully obtained a full remand at a Rule 33 Staff Conference in a matter pending before the Court of Appeals for Veterans Claims and contributed to an amicus brief submitted to the U.S. Supreme Court. He previously served as Articles and Symposia Editor of the Stetson Law Review and as a teaching assistant in the Advanced Veterans Advocacy Clinic.

Before law school, Alex served as a Battalion Communications Officer in the U.S. Marine Corps, where he led a team of 40 Marines, managed a $2.5 million equipment portfolio, and was awarded the Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal. His leadership experience continues to shape his approach to client service: assess the facts, develop a plan, and execute with clarity.

Originally from Detroit, Alex moved to Cape Coral at age 10, where he resides with his wife and son. Together, they enjoy traveling and recently visited Great Smoky Mountains National Park. A fan of distance running, golf, and college football, Alex also enjoys reading biographies and military history.
