Overview

Amy has joined the firm as an Associate in the Business Litigation Department after a rewarding Summer Associate internship with Henderson Franklin. Her passion lies in using her legal experience to help individuals, businesses and organizations achieve their goals. Amy believes that local businesses are the backbone of our community and is eager to contribute to their success by providing steadfast legal representation. She is admitted to practice in all Florida state courts and in the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Florida.

Amy attained additional experience as a judicial intern for the Honorable Nicholas Mizell in the Middle District of Florida, Fort Myers Division. She approaches legal advocacy with a strong emphasis on client engagement and communication. Amy believes that understanding clients’ goals and collaborating closely to formulate a clear strategy are essential for achieving success in legal matters.

A proud “Triple Gator,” Amy achieved her Bachelor of Arts, summa cum laude, and Master of Arts in History from the University of Florida, as well as her Juris Doctorate from the University of Florida’s Levin College of Law, cum laude. Upon her first graduation, she was awarded Best Thesis. While in law school, she served as the Executive Notes and Comments Editor of the Florida Law Review, a Levin Ambassador, and a Board Member of the John Marshall Bar Association. Upon graduation from law school, Amy was awarded the William E. Rion Outstanding Graduate Award by Florida Blue Key.

Amy was born and raised in Punta Gorda, Florida. She loves being on the water, fishing, kayaking, and paddle boarding. She has a life-long love of reading history, and she recently took a “bar trip” to the United Kingdom to visit the homes of famous authors in England, Bath and Scotland.

Professional and Civic Affiliations

Amy is a member of the Florida Blue Key. While her current focus is primarily on her legal practice, she holds a deep commitment to pro bono and community service activities and actively seeks opportunities to give back to the community.
