Mark Nieds Shared Insight on Business Formation to Southwest Florida Entrepreneurs, Start-ups and Small Business Owners
Henderson, Franklin, Starnes & Holt, P.A., is pleased to announce that Intellectual Property Attorney Mark Nieds served as a panelist for Consolidated Credit’s Business $ense Boot Camp on September 17, as part of a series of webinars tailored for entrepreneurs, start-ups and existing small business owners. Nieds discussed the benefits, risks and tax benefits faced in the choice of entity selection process when forming a business. Additional panelists included Blake Chapman (Owner, State Insurance USA), Adam Lysiak (VP, Comerica Bank), and Cheryl Willett (Accountant/Certified QuickBooks ProAdvisor of Willett Business Management, Inc.). The session was moderated by Monique ‘Mo’ Corker (External Affairs Market Manager at Comerica Bank).
Nieds serves as chair of Henderson Franklin’s Intellectual Property Practice Group and concentrates his practice on domestic and international intellectual property and Internet matters, including trademarks, copyright, trade secret protection, franchising, privacy, and data protection. For over 25 years, he works with clients to develop comprehensive intellectual property and trade secret protection strategies and represents clients in litigation when those rights must be enforced. Nieds also assists with new product launches, corporate rebranding projects, acquisitions, licensing, and data security matters.
Nieds is sought-after speaker, an avid blogger on the Southwest Florida Business and IP Blog, and is a member of the International Trademark Association. He was also honored as a “Top Lawyer” by Naples Illustrated Magazine (2018-2020). Nieds received his undergraduate degrees from Miami University and the Illinois Institute of Technology, and his J.D. from the Chicago-Kent College of Law.
