Southwest Florida Attorney Donald Thomson Named 2012 Love of Bonita Award Recipient

The Bonita Springs Community Fund of the Southwest Florida Community Foundation has named Donald Thomson the 2012 Love of Bonita Award recipient. The award, given annually, honors a Bonita Springs resident who exemplifies the goal of helping to build a stronger community. The Love of Bonita Award recipients are chosen based on the following criteria:

  • they consistently choose to use their time, energy and/or money to make a difference in the lives of people living within the Bonita Springs community;
  • they actively encourage and perform community service to help improve the quality of life in the Bonita Springs area; and,
  • they enthusiastically promote empowerment, self-sufficiency and positive change in others, either as volunteers or as employees of community organizations.

Thomson concentrates his practice in the areas of commercial, construction and contract litigation, business organizations and planning matters, utility and developer representation and professional licensing. He is also a Certified Circuit Mediator by the Supreme Court of Florida. He holds the highest AV-rating by Martindale-Hubbell.

Throughout his legal career, Thomson has been recognized by many organizations, including the receipt of the Bonita Springs Citizen of the Year Award, the Pioneer Preeminent Award from the Bonita Springs/Naples YMCA and the Bonita Chamber Director of the Year award.
