Fort Myers Attorney Robert Shearman Elected to Henderson Franklin's Executive Committee

The law firm of Henderson, Franklin, Starnes & Holt, P.A. is pleased to announce that Attorney Robert Shearman, a stockholder in the firm’s Tort & Insurance Litigation division is now certified as a circuit civil mediator by the Florida Supreme Court. As mediator, he will work with parties to reduce obstacles and facilitate voluntary agreements to resolve legal disputes. Shearman is Florida Bar Board Certified in Civil Trial Law, is AV rated by Martindale-Hubbell and serves on Henderson Franklin’s Executive Committee.

Shearman represents numerous public and private entities in the defense of tort, civil rights, employment and real estate litigation matters. He provides preventative harassment and discrimination training for employers, frequently lectures on employment law, real estate and tort litigation, has been published in employment law journals, and is a past president of the Lee County Chapter of the Federal Bar Association. Shearman is also active in the Southwest Florida community, serving on United Way Allocation Committees and coaching youth sports. He is a former trustee of the Calusa Nature Center and past president of the Southwest Florida Seminole Booster Club. Shearman received his undergraduate degree from Emory University and his law degree from Florida State University.
