Fort Myers Attorney Carlos Kelly to Present at February 16 Appraisal Institute Conference

Henderson, Franklin, Starnes & Holt, P.A. is pleased to announce that Attorney Carlos A. Kelly, a stockholder in the firm’s Commercial Litigation practice group, will be a panelist at the February 16, 2012 seminar, “Trial Components:  Recipe for Success or Failure,” to be held at the Pelican Preserve Country Club in Fort Myers, sponsored by the West Coast Chapter of the Appraisal Institute. The seminar, which is tailored to the real estate appraisal industry, will break down components of a trial and attendees will learn what questions to ask in accepting assignments, best way to prepare reports for expert opinions and best practices for depositions and trial.

Kelly represents individuals and entities at the trial court level. He focuses his practice on real property disputes, including eminent domain matters. Kelly serves on The Florida Bar Association’s Eminent Domain Committee and is a member of The Association of Eminent Domain Professionals (AEDP). In addition to eminent domain matters, Kelly handles other real property disputes, business tort claims, and a variety of contract-based disputes. He also volunteers in the community and, over the years, has served the United Way, the American Heart Association, the City of Fort Myers Economic Development Advisory Board, the Department of Children and Families, and Teen Court.

Kelly received his undergraduate degree from Florida State University, magna cum laude, in 1993 and his law degree from Emory University in 1997.
