Fort Myers Attorney Cody Vaughan-Birch Appointed to Marine Advisory Committee

The law firm of Henderson, Franklin, Starnes & Holt, P.A. is pleased to announce that Attorney Cody Vaughan-Birch, an associate in the Land Use & Environmental law division, was appointed to the Marine Advisory Committee by the Charlotte County Board of County Commissioners. The Committee advises the Board on issues such as comprehensive policies required to protect and enhance the use of marine resources, identification of waterfront properties suitable for acquisition to provide public access, coordination with state and federal agencies on marine issues, and the allocation of funding from Florida Boater Improvement revenues and the West Coast Inland Navigation District.

Vaughan-Birch's legal practice encompasses all areas of local government law including zoning, administrative appeals, development agreements, real property tax appeals, planning, and negotiating infrastructure agreements for large-scale commercial and residential developments. He also is one of only three U.S. Green Building Council LEED Accredited Professional attorneys in Fort Myers.

Vaughan-Birch is a member of the Real Estate Investment Society of Lee County, the Coastal Conservation Association and serves on the board of directors of Special Equestrians, Inc. He received his undergraduate degree from the University of Florida and his law degree from Stetson University, cum laude.
