Fort Myers Attorney Carlos A. Kelly Appointed Vice Chair of 20th Judicial Circuit's Grievance Committee D

The law firm of Henderson, Franklin, Starnes & Holt, P.A. is pleased to announce that Attorney Carlos A. Kelly has been appointed as Vice Chairman of the 20th Judicial Circuit’s Grievance Committee D. The Grievance Committee reviews complaints against lawyers licensed by The Florida Bar, investigates the allegations, and decides whether there is probable cause to believe a lawyer violated the professional conduct rules imposed by the Supreme Court of Florida, and whether discipline against the lawyer is warranted.

Carlos is a partner in the firm’s Fort Myers office. He concentrates his commercial litigation practice in eminent domain matters, real property disputes, business tort claims, and various contract-based disputes. He volunteers in the community and, over the years, has served the United Way, the American Heart Association, and the City of Fort Myers Economic Development Advisory Board. Carlos has authored several articles on eminent domain, serves on The Florida Bar's Eminent Domain Committee, and is a member of The Association of Eminent Domain Professionals (AEDP). He also serves on the Emory University School of Law Alumni Board.

Carlos received his undergraduate degree from Florida State University, magna cum laude, in 1993 and his law degree from Emory University in 1997.
