John A. Noland is chair of the Commercial Litigation practice area. His representation of corporate clients includes not only business litigation, but also transactional work such as financing, employment law, and general corporate counseling. Also, he has served as General Counsel for some of the firm’s corporate clients.

John is admitted to practice in all State courts in Florida, the United States District Court for the Middle and Southern Districts of Florida, the United States Court of Appeals for the 5th and 11th Circuits, and the Supreme Court of the United States.

For six consecutive years (2006 – 2011), John has been named to Florida Super Lawyers ® magazine, which recognizes the state’s top five percent of attorneys who are selected through an extensive peer review, statewide survey and independent evaluation. He has also been recognized by Florida Trend magazine's Legal Elite and The Best Lawyers in America ®. John is AV-rated by Martindale-Hubbell.

John is married to Pamela, and has a son, John Andrew “Drew” (Jr.,), and a daughter, Jennifer.

Professional and Civil Affiliations

John is active in The Florida Bar and has served as a member of its Board of Governors. He has served as a member on the Joint Commission on Delivery of Legal Services to the Indigent in Florida. He was a former member of The Florida Bar Presidential Advertising Task Force and has served as Chair of the Statewide Advertising Grievance Committee. John has also served as Chairman of the Twentieth Judicial Circuit Grievance Committee. He was a member of the Commission on Evaluation of Disciplinary Enforcement and a member of the Special Commission on Lawyer Regulation. John currently serves on the Board of Directors and is past President of The Florida Bar Foundation. He is a fellow of the American Bar Foundation and The Florida Bar Foundation.

Additionally, John is a member of the Federal Bar Association, the American Bar Association and the Lee County Bar Association. He has served as president of the Calusa Chapter of the Inn of Court.

John is actively involved in civic and community organizations. He is a past president of the Rotary Club of Fort Myers. John has been a member of the Board of Directors of the American Red Cross and the Advisory Board of the Salvation Army. He has served as an attorney for the Childrens Home Society and Habitat for Humanity. He has been Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the First United Methodist Church of Fort Myers. He is a member of the Fort Myers Police Officers Retirement Board. John is Chairman of the Board of Lee Memorial, Inc. d/b/a Lee Healthcare Resources Board and Cypress Cove at Health Park Florida. He is currently serves as Chairman of the Board of Investors Security Trust Company.
