David L. Cook is Board Certified in Real Estate Law and represents clients in real estate sales, acquisitions, financing and development. More specifically, he concentrates his practice in matters concerning real estate contracts, land development, homeowner and condominium associations, the Interstate Land Sales Full Disclosure Act, title insurance, and closings. David is also a certified civil mediator by the Florida Supreme Court.
David has and continues to serve as counsel for Southwest Florida developers in all aspects of land acquisition, development and sales involving extensive, mixed use developments.
David is the author of The Collection Process, Florida State and Local Taxes, which was published by the Florida Bar. David has been recognized by Best Lawyers in America ® and Florida Super Lawyers ® magazine, highlighting his focus in real estate law. He is AV-rated by Martindale Hubbell.
David has resided in Florida since 1962. David is married to Lisa Cook and has two daughters, Jenny and Rachel, and two grandchildren. When he is not working, he enjoys golf, fishing and skiing.
Professional and Civil Affiliations
David is member of the Collier County Bar Association and the Florida Bar Association and has served in many capacities of the Florida Bar, including member and former chairman of the Real Estate Certification Committee, member of the Board of Legal Specialization and Education, and member of the Real Property, Probate and Trust Law Section.
David is a member of the Bonita Springs Chamber of Commerce and former chair of the Government Affairs Committee. He is also past president of the Naples Gulfshore Rotary Club.
