David L. Cook is Board Certified in Real Estate Law and represents clients in all aspects of real estate sales, acquisitions, financing and development. He also represents homeowner and condominium associations. David is also a certified civil mediator by the Florida Supreme Court and focuses in disputes involving real estate, real estate commissions, homeowner and condominium associations, and commercial contracts.
David has and continues to serve as counsel for Southwest Florida developers in all aspects of land acquisition, development and sales involving extensive, mixed use developments. His recent transactions include representing a client in the purchase of an existing assisted living facility and representing clients in the sale of orange groves, fully improved development parcels, and golf clubs.
David is the author of The Collection Process, Florida State and Local Taxes, which was published by the Florida Bar. He was also recognized as one of the Best Lawyers in America® (2010-2013), and was recognized for his work in real estate law by Florida Super Lawyers® magazine (2011-2013). He is AV-rated by Martindale Hubbell.
David has resided in Florida since 1962. David is married to Lisa Cook and has two daughters, Jenny and Rachel, and two grandchildren. When he is not working, he enjoys golf, fishing and skiing.
David is member of the Collier County Bar Association and the Florida Bar Association and has served in many capacities of the Florida Bar, including member and former chairman of the Real Estate Certification Committee, member of the Board of Legal Specialization and Education, and member of the Real Property, Probate and Trust Law Section.
David is a member of the Bonita Springs Chamber of Commerce and former chair of the Government Affairs Committee. He is also past president of the Naples Gulfshore Rotary Club.
