Amy Turner concentrates her practice in the area of Divorce, Marital, and Family Law. She assists clients in matters of divorce, child support, child custody, prenuptial and postnuptial agreements, domestic and repeat violence injunction actions, as well as paternity and adoption issues. Amy is admitted to practice in all Florida State Courts.

Prior to graduating summa cum laude from Stetson University College of Law, Amy was a member of Stetson’s Law Review, Stetson’s Honors Program, and Stetson’s legal honor society, Phi Delta Phi. While serving on the Law Review, Amy was a digest writer for the Stetson Law Review Local Government Law Symposium, in which she regularly wrote and published articles highlighting recent case law developments affecting local government practitioners. In addition to her achievements on Stetson’s Law Review, Amy received the special awards of “Best Appellant Oral Advocist” in her first year researching and writing section and the “Melvyn Trute, P.A. Trust Award,” provided to one student each year for his or her excellence in the area of Trusts law, in her third year at Stetson.

Before attending law school, Amy graduated from Warner University with a degree in psychology and minor in business administration. She was actively involved at Warner as a Resident Assistant and President of both the Student Government Association and Pi Gamma Mu, a social sciences honor society. In addition to her leadership roles at Warner University, Amy received various honors including the Social and Behavioral Sciences Student of the year award in 2003; membership in two honor societies: Alpha Chi and Pi Gamma Mu; and recognition on the National Dean’s List and Who’s Who Among Students in American Universities and Colleges. Amy was also selected to participate in an interdisciplinary program in Washington, D.C. in which she took classes focusing on politics and public policy and had the opportunity to intern for U.S. Congressman Adam Putnam of Florida’s 12th Congressional District.

Amy spent part of her life in Milwaukee, Wisconsin before relocating to Southwest Florida. She currently resides in Cape Coral with her husband, three dogs and two cats. In her spare time, she enjoys bowling, golfing and spending time outside with her family.

Professional and Civil Affiliations

Amy is a member of the Family Law and Young Lawyers divisions of the Lee County Bar Association, as well as a member of the Lee County Bar's Social Committee. She also serves on the Board of Directors of the Association of Family Law Professionals and serves on the Support Issues and Equitable Distribution Committees of the Family Law Section of the Florida Bar.

Active in the community, Amy is a mentor to high school students in the Take Stock in Children program, a mentor to law students in Stetson's Bar Mentoring Program, and is also a Mock Trial Coach for Cypress Lake High School. She also serves on the Lee County Community Board for Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Sun Coast.
